Description   The Quatre Rounds Repeating Small stencil by Andrew Borloz came about as a result of his experiments with shapes as he worked to find new and interesting patterns. For this stencil, he simply cut one circle into quarters and re-arranged them. The effect was rendered even more interesting when he overlapped four of the quartered rounds and used the center squares as filler in between the overlapping rounds. The result? A grid-like pattern that could be seen as squares, twirls, or four petals forming square-like flowers. This repeating pattern offers a number of possibilities for creating new patterns using different colors or block/mask techniques. Try it in art journaling, mixed media, paper crafts, and more!
