Sarah Gardner designed Squiggle Doodle to accompany Doodle Vocab as part of her Doodle Vocab collection.

Sarah says: "Both stencil designs are inspired by smaller versions of the doodles I have used to make collage materials, or as finishing touches in my art journal, and shareable art, like postcards, ATCs, and zines. I keep a little notebook where I log these doodles, a kind of glossary of the ones I love and use most often. I call the notebook 'Doodle Vocab.' Some of these doodles are featured in a chapter of my book: 'Share Your Joy: Inspired Mixed Media Shareable Art'
"Creating larger versions of these doodles for stencils was so fun! Use them to add a graphic touch to backgrounds, finishing details to mixed media projects, and more! They are great to use with acrylics in traditional stenciling, on your gel plate to add texture and pattern to prints, as well as perfect for spray paints or inks.
"The smaller doodle that inspired this stencil is usually a single squiggly line that I make without lifting the pen. Squiggle Doodle is an exaggeration of this idea. The stenciled pattern is not only bigger, it has more dimension than the original doodle. It’s dynamic, fun, and has a graphic quality that adds movement and playfulness."
