Description   The Mod City Country Abstract stencil by Cynthia Silveri was inspired by one of Roberto Burle Marx’s landscape plans and designed to become an abstraction of city and / or countryside elements. Marx’s landscapes often encompassed a definitive connection between earth and water with strong, bold lines and floating landscape elements; he was a master at understanding the space between landscape elements (negative space.) Cynthia wanted that sensibility to be reflected in this stencil. Of course, you can also use it to create layers of texture and pattern in art journaling, mixed media artwork, encaustic painting, and more.
