The Quatre Rounds Repeating Small stencil by Andrew Borloz came about as a result of his experiments with shapes as he worked to find new and interesting patterns. For this stencil, he simply cut one circle into quarters and re-arranged them. The effect was rendered even more interesting when he overlapped four of the quartered rounds and used the center squares as filler in between the overlapping rounds. The result? A grid-like pattern that could be seen as squares, twirls, or four petals forming square-like flowers.

But there are actually two different patterns within Andrew Borloz' Triangles and Diamonds Illusion Stencil, and there's an "invisible" line dividing them. The triangular part has some of the triangles looking like funnels, and the diamonds seem to mimic the chain link fence. It is almost like an optical illusion where it is not easy to see the difference between the triangles and the diamonds. That's what Andrew likes most about it.
