Cynthia Silveri is a landscape architect by training and profession, and an artist driven by curiosity, experimentation, and the creative process. After more than thirty years designing gardens and parks — and teaching graphic communication studio courses at the University of Michigan — Cynthia has fully embraced a more intuitive and exploratory art practice.
Her work combines layers, texture, mark-making, collage, and abstraction, often inspired by the rhythms of nature and the emotional experience of creating. Through her stencil designs for StencilGirl Products, Cynthia encourages others to explore art as a process of discovery rather than perfection. Cynthia also creates livestreams and videos centered around creative exploration, experimentation, and the calming, restorative power of making art. She believes that “the process is the point,” and loves helping others reconnect with creativity in a more relaxed and meaningful way. She lives in the country outside a small Michigan town, surrounded by gardens, goats, sheep, chickens and dogs, an endless inspiration from the natural world.
