Jill McDowell designed her mini Center Grid Trivet stencil with squares in mind. Use it to make your art journal or canvas dance. Lovely as a painterly background or for use on greeting cards.

Mid to late 18th Century Japanese woodblock print books and Ukiyo-e prints inspired Jill McDowell’s versatile Trivet Stencils. You can mask out the inner circle to make a round frame or change the look by masking areas.

All of the Trivet Stencils Jill designed to form hidden patterns when repeated - repeat a stencil 4 times in a block pattern to reveal hidden circles and an unexpected central image. Repeat the stencil four times around an open space at 3 o’clock, 6 o’clock, 9 o’clock, and 12 o’clock to create a square frame, (or rectangular for the trivet duo designs).
