Ginkgo was designed by Dave Daniels.

Dave says: "I have always thought that the leaves of the ginkgo tree are among the most beautiful and recognizable shapes in nature. Their simple yet elegant design consistently inspires me. This stencil would make for a very vague yet recognizable background. It would add to the overall organic feel of the painting and not distract from other subject matter.

"In several examples, I applied molding paste with a palette knife through the openings of the mask. This technique creates a raised textured surface that can be easily painted."
